Manny Ravelo, MPH
Project BrainSafe Program Coordinator
Manny joined Project BrainSafe in 2018 as the program’s coordinator. Manny has a background in public health and has played a role in a variety of programs centered around concussions, social determinants of health, diabetes, hypertension, asthma and food insecurity.
Manny earned his bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management from Indian River State College in 2013 and a Master of Public Health degree from Liberty University in 2015. During his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities with his wife and two kids
Project BrainSafe Administrative Assistant
Stephanie Backes is an administrative assistant for Project BrainSafe. She has 10 years of health care experience that encompasses administrative activities, billing and coding, and direct patient care.
Stephanie enjoys working on home renovations, and spending time with her husband and four children.

George Morris, MD
Physician Vice President
CentraCare Health – Performance Excellence
George joined CentraCare Clinic in 2008 as a Family Medicine & Sports Medicine physician. He was named Medical Director of CentraCare Clinic in 2012 and continues to see patients half time at St. Cloud Medical Group Northwest. He was named CentraCare Health Physician Vice President for Performance Excellence in 2016.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science from St. Cloud State University in 1990 and an MD from the University of Minnesota. He did his Family Medicine Residency at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, and the Mayo/St. Cloud Hospital program. He served as a physician in the US Navy for 4 years and then completed a primary care sports medicine fellowship from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2004.
Wendi Johnson, MD
Wendi is a founding member of Project BrainSafe (2014) and joined the Executive Board in 2017. She has worked on developing documentation tools for concussion visits and a educational video for health care providers, in addition to seeing general pediatric patients and concussion patients. She joined CentraCare Pediatrics in 2000. Her bachelor degree is from Hillsdale College and medical degree is from Wayne State University (Detroit). At the Medical College of Wisconsin/Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, she did her residency and then obtained sports medicine training at the University of Wisconsin (go, Bucky badger!) She spends free time with her husband and kids, runs with her two “fur kids,” reads, knits, paddle boards, and constantly tries new things.
Katie Malotky PT, DPT
SPOT Rehabilitation & Home Health Care
Katie Malotky is a physical therapist working with a variety of diagnoses including: concussion, pediatrics gross motor delays, headaches, dizziness, and multiple neuromuscular disorders at SPOT Rehabilitation & Home Health Care in St. Cloud, MN. Katie joined the Project BrainSafe executive board in 2018 where she has assisted with continuing progression of concussion awareness to the community and assisted with creating standards of care in the medical community related to concussion.
Corinne Meisel, PT, DPT, SCS
Physical Therapist – NovaCare Rehabilitation

Corinne became a member of Project BrainSafe in 2014 and joined the Executive Board in 2017. Corinne is a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy. She earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy from University of North Florida and completed her Sports Physical Therapy Residency at St. Francis University. She has been working with patients post-concussion since 2013. She is familiar with the UPMC and University of Buffalo treatment models. Corinne works for NovaCare Rehabilitation and her primary location is at St. John’s University. In her spare time, she enjoys watching Johnnie sporting events from the stands where she can relax and enjoy the game.
